Bangalore Metro work seems to be going on track and there has been lot developments seen across all areas. Some new work has started in J.C Road, M. G. Road stretch is extending and in Tumkur road people can literally see the daily work progress. It has been great so far.
Reach-1 — Byappanahalli to Cricket Stadium
Work has started in April 2007. Current Status: Ready to to meet the December 2010 as per schedule.

About 45% of work on this route complete. The entire stretch now dotted in line with the piers. Piers have been placed while some other related works is in progress. The viaduct works are currently under way on M G Road. A total of 17 spans have been erected on the elevated stretch from Trinity Circle towards the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium. Work in Trinity Circle is under progress.
STATIONS: Six stations — S V Road, Ulsoor, CMH Road, Byappanahalli, Trinity and M G Road. Work has started on all these areas.
Depot: The depot area at Byappanahalli is in progress.
Reach-2: Magadi Road Junction to Mysore Road Terminal
Deadline: August 2012.
Road widening work along the stretch is in progress and 90% is complete. Piling work for the elevated structure has already started on Mysore Road. Importantly demolition of buildings is also complete.
In Deepanjali Nagar, demolition work is about to begin. Work already started at Tollgate, Hosahalli, Vijayanagar stations, at Mysore Road terminal, Deepanjali Nagar and Mysore road is progressing at good pace.
Reach-3 — Swastik to Yeshwanthpur
Deadline: June 2011
The widened roads are quite a relief. About 80% of the road-widening work on this stretch is now complete. Shifting of utilities is under progress on this reach from the Malleswaram station to Rajajinagar. Nearly 90% of the building demolition is also complete.
Reach-4 — K R Market to R V Road Terminal
Deadline: October 2012
Test pile work on R V Road in progress. Additional trial bore holes have been drilled at 120 pier locations to track a detailed geo-technical information of the reach.
STATIONS: Five stations — South End, Lal Bagh, K R station, R V Road and Jayanagar.
